Klipsch School Giving Opportunities

The Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has needs in several areas to improve the department's services and activities.  Please select one or more opportunities on the list below.  You can donate to one of the funds by check, credit card, or through the United Way. Directions for each method are given below.  Your gift can go further if you work for a Matching Gift company.  To find out if your company matches gifts, click here.

Directions

Check

  1. Select the fund to which you wish to donate.  Note the exact name for the fund.
  2. Decide on your level of support.
  3. Click here to go to the NMSU Foundation page. 
  4. Enter the amount you wish to give in the box in Step 1.
  5. Select the "Where the need is greatest button" and enter the fund name in the box in Step 1.
  6. Select the "A check is enclosed" button on Step 2.
  7. Enter your personal information and personal information in Step  3.
  8. Print and mail the form as instructed in Step 4.

Credit Card

  1. Select the fund to which you wish to donate.  Note the exact name for the fund.
  2. Decide on your level of support.
  3. Click here to go to the NMSU Foundation page. 
  4. Enter the amount you wish to give in the box in Step 1.
  5. Select the "Where the need is greatest button" and enter the fund name in the box in Step 1.
  6. Enter your credit card information in Step 2.
  7. Enter your personal information in Step 3.
  8. Complete the submission of the form in Step 4.

United Way

  1. Select the fund to which you wish to donate.  Note both the name and the code for the fund.
  2. Decide on your level of support.
  3. On the United Way form you received from your employer, .... (find out specific instructions here).

1. Lt. Tony Aguilar Memorial: EE major, Junior, 2.5+ GPA
2. Prof. Harold Brown: EE major, maintain 3.2+ GPA, enrolled full time, 8 semesters maximum
3. H. Warren Cooper: EE Major, active in IEEE, 3.2+ GPA
4. Michael Corpening Memorial: EE major, 3.5+ GPA, junior or senior, NM high school grad, preference to Mayfield, LCHS and Oņate, involved in extracurricular activities, be working on a multi-major a big plus
5. Dr. & Mrs. Donald Crosno: US citizen, NM resident, incoming freshman, 3.5+ high school GPA or 26 ACT, preference to grads from NM El Paso county, and Juarez
6. Norton Davis: EE major preferred, NM resident, US citizen, Jr or above, 2.5+ GPA, student from a community served by an electric co-op
7. EE Alumni & Friends: Soph, EE major, active in IEEE, 3.0+ GPA
8. Electrical & Computer Engineering Scholarship: Department Head’s discretion
9. Electrical Engineering Scholarship: EE major, 60+ hours, 3.4+ GPA, HKN member
10. Hartwell Memorial: Sophomore, junior, or senior, 3.0+ GPA, US citizen
11. Higgins Scholarship: EE major, 3.0+ GPA, demonstrated financial need
12. Ideas Science & Engineering: EE major, NM resident, prefer Jr, 3.0+ GPA, interested in design and application
13. International Foundation for Telemetering: So, Jr, Sr, or Graduate student, 3.2+ GPA, can be continuous, 3.0+ GPA for continuous students
14. Klipsch Castillo: Incoming freshman, EE major, US citizen, NM or El Paso resident, 3.0+ GPA, enrolled full-time, believe in Supreme Being
15. Klipsch Freshman: Incoming freshman, EE major, US citizen, NM or El Paso resident, 3.0+ GPA, enrolled full-time, believe in Supreme Being
16. Klipsch Jordan: Incoming freshman, EE major, US citizen, NM or El Paso resident, 3.0+ GPA, enrolled full-time, believe in Supreme Being
17. Klipsch HKN: Preference given to Juniors of good moral character, leadership potential
18. George W. Lucky: Junior or Senior, 50+ hours, 2.75+ GPA, US citizen, active in IEEE or HKN
19. J. Warren Pollard: NM resident, US citizen, junior or senior 3.2+ GPA, completed EE 211/214 with a B or better, can be continuous
20. Dr. Jerome Shaw & Joyce Shaw: EE major, 3.5+ GPA, preference to minority graduate from NM, El Paso, Juarez, renewable for 2nd semester
21. Raymond Stocklos: Academic progress
22. Jack Ward Scholarship: Freshman in EE, 3.0+ GPA, US citizen, preference to NM residents, can be continuous with a 3.0+ GPA
23. Yarbrough Family Scholarship: Student who is returning after 3 years absence, US citizen, financial need, may be continuous, 3.0+ GPA
