Trigonometry/Pre-calculus Freshman Schedule

Freshmen who start the math sequence with Trigonometry are not eligible to begin their Electrical Engineering studies. The following schedule is typical:


 

First Semester (15 credits)

CHEM 111 Chemistry I 4 Requires high school chemistry
ENGL 111G Freshman Composition 4 Contingent on English Placement
MATH 190 Pre-calculus 4 Contingent on Math Placement
General Education Elective   3  



 

Second Semester (13-16 credits)

Course Description Credit Notes
EE 161 Computer-Aided Problem Solving 4 Must also be in MATH 191
ENGL 218G Technical Writing 3 Must have completed ENGL 111G
MATH 191 Calculus I 3 Must have completed MATH 180
General Education Elective (or take 2)   3 - 6
