Pre-Capstone Paperwork

Prior to the capstone class, the design project must be approved.  If a faculty member sponsors a project, that faculty member will process the approval paperwork.  Students may also design their own capstone project with faculty oversight.  Here is information to help you before and during the capstone design class:

Each capstone class needs to have several formal reviews.  A suggested approach is to use the following set of reviews over two semesters.  The System Concept Review would be held after the Design Formulation and Conceptual Design phases are complete.  The Preliminary Design Review would be held after the Configuration Design stage is complete.  The Critical Design Review would be held after all of the detailed design work is done.  The Final Review is held at the completion of the project.  Suggested annotated presentation templates and Power Point slides are given below.

Report and Presentation Templates:

Oral presentations, technical reports and Labs, and teamwork will now be evaluated in the Klipsch School of Electrical and Computer Engineering with specific formats. The formats we will be using are given below. Please use the templates to help ensure that your work will be in the correct format. The evaluations that will be used to evaluate your work are listed below for your information. These evaluation tools will be used in classes, lab sections, and capstone presentations.
